My first Blog post!

For my first ever blog post, I wanted to share a little bit more about myself...Right now I really have no idea what I'm getting myself into or what I'm doing, but here goes nothing!

• I was born in Austin, TX and I still reside here, which is very rare these days. I grew up on the northwestern side of Austin, but spent a lot of time in South Austin, seeing as one my grandmothers lives there. I think of my self as a hippie at heart with conservative/moderate views.

• I went to school at Texas State and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Science this past December. Luckily, my program was offered at the Texas State Round Rock campus, so I didn't have to move to San Marcos. Whew! I Graduated in the top 15% of my class, which was an accomplishment for me. I was never the best student, so I am pleased to actually have a degree! Now, the search to find a job begins, I'm sure you'll be seeing me post more about that.

• I love being outside, and getting fresh air, whether it be riding bikes, running with my honey and our dog, or just eating a snow cone. Oh and if you couldn't tell from the picture above, I love seeing live music, inside or out.

• The picture above is of me and Scott. We've been dating for almost two years now. Scott and I went on a ski trip to New Mexico shortly after I graduated. We did a ton of stuff on that trip including taking a mini trip to Denver to see my favorite band. By the end of the trip we were engaged!!! It was a trip of a lifetime! Well, that's me in a nut shell. There are many more things I want to share, but I'll save them for another post. I feel as if I will be documenting a lot of new things in my life, some things I know little about, and some things I will need help with. I'm hoping to find some answers through other bloggers like YOU! I am really looking forward to sharing my life with people who are similar to me and would like to read it from a different perspective.
